SUMMARY:THE NAKED NEDS
DESCRIPTION:Friday 19th September \nTickets £13/£10 \nhttps://www.ticketsource.co.uk/thenakedneds/the-naked-neds/e-xzymqd \n'The Naked Neds' follows a group of Glasgow lads as they navigate the turbulent aftermath of their best friend's suicide. In a world where politicians' expenses seem to matter more than NHS waiting lists\, they decide to take matters into their own hands and after several failed fundraising attempts\, they decide there's only one thing they can do; take their clothes off\, but their plans are almost derailed when one of the boys finds a lump on his testicle and the boys are faced with another issue: none of them know how to check themselves. 'The Naked Neds' is a heartwarming story about male friendship and the tragedies and obstacles that life throws at us. It's about Testicular Cancer and young men who find it difficult to confide in their mates. (Please note: The Naked Neds does include a full monty performance and a groundbreaking live demonstration of a self-examination for testicular health. However\, this production does not include any full-frontal nudity.) \nThe show has just finished an incredibly successful tour\, with fantastic features in The Glasgow Times and appearances on both GO! Radio and BBC Radio Scotland.

SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC: Dave Arcari + special guest Ismo Haavisto
DESCRIPTION:A double bill of blues\, Americana and roots music featuring Dave Arcari (Scotland) and Ismo Haavisto (Finland). \nTickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dave-arcari-special-guest-ismo-haavisto-arrochar-tickets-712552101517 \n  \nDAVE ARCARI \nSlide guitarist & songwriter Dave Arcari's alt.blues sounds owe as much to trash country\, punk and rockabilly as they do pre-war Delta blues and have been showcased via seven internationally-acclaimed solo album releases on labels including Buzz (UK)\, Dixiefrog (France) and Blue North (Finland). \nAfter a successful Kickstarter campaign his latest album Devil May Care is set for release on red vinyl in November 2023. \nA top three finalist in UK Blues Federation's UK Blues Awards 2023 Arcari's music features in numerous BBC TV programmes as well as popular USA series The Deadliest Catch. \nWhile continuing to build his audience in the USA with once or twice-annual tours since 2013 – including official showcases at SxSW in Austin\, Texas – Arcari maintains his presence on the UK and European touring and festival circuits with regular live shows throughout the year. \nThe ultimate validation for Arcari's music and performance came in 2019 when National Reso-Phonic Guitars launched the 'Dave Arcari signature model' guitar. Arcari joins an elite and exclusive group of players who have signature models and is the first – and only – musician outside the USA to be honoured by the iconic instrument maker whose name is synonymous with the development of the blues genre. \nMore info at https://www.davearcari.com \n  \nISMO HAAVISTO \nIsmo Haavisto is a professional blues artist from Lahti\, Finland who is at the pinnacle of his 30-years-plus career playing blues and blues-based music. His music and performance comes from deep down in his soul and he has earned a reputation as an accomplished.singer\, harmonica player\, guitarist and songwriter. He has released ten albums – nine of which feature mostly his own songs. \nAs well as original material\, Ismo's live set includes his own versions of some classics off the genre. \nHe tours regularly both as a one man band and with a band/trio – not just his native Finland but also the USA\, Scotland\, Spain\, Germany\, France\, Denmark\, Estonia\, Lithuania and Latvia. \nMore info at https://www.ismohaavisto.com
